White Rose Horticulture was born from a love of the great outdoors, creative design and a love of plants.
Our aim is to design, build and maintain beautiful gardens whilst fostering long term relationships with our customers. Gardens are ever changing, living spaces and the finest gardens are unique to their owners. Their cultivation and improvements take time, attention to detail and skill to create and maintain.
Wherever possible, gardens should be built and maintained in sustainable ways, allowing a place for nature to thrive.
We don't use chemicals, we don't deal with plastic. We use premium, quality products built to last and compliment the environment in which they sit.
Re-use, recycle, repurpose;
Whenever the opportunity arises we look to recycle and upcycle timber, stone and garden waste creating habitat, structure and other garden features - minimising waste going to landfill.
But at the core of everything we do is the plants - plants don't last forever so its important they're maintained, propagated and cultivated properly.
Plants form the heart of all of our designs based around the spaces we wish to create. A garden would be nothing without well considered and maintained planting!
Hello, I'm Steve š
With over 7 yearsā experience in both landscaping private gardens and maintaining large estate grounds, Steve brings valuable design, landscaping skills and horticultural knowledge to any garden project.
Passionate about creating beautiful outdoor spaces, functional for their owners and wherever possible - wildlife friendly!
Gardens built with premium products using sustainable building methods focused on long term enjoyment.
Considerate planting design - right plant right place. This starts with the ground, the situation, light levels and irrigation. Improving the soil, creating growing media to suit the desired planting and then the management of these plants over time to produce the desired effect.
Steve completed his L2 & 3 apprenticeships in Horticulture at Pershore College, Warwickshire, whilst managing the grounds and gardens of a 23-acre estate in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. Whilst working as Head Gardener he has maintained and developed a varied range of gardens; from formal topiary, ornamental water features and manicured striped lawns to traditional cottage style gardens, herbaceous borders, productive kitchen gardens, allotment, orchards, and wildlife focused gardens including wildflower meadows, wildlife ponds, and woodland.
Whatever your garden aspirations, we can help you achieve them through consultation, design and planning through to building and garden management services. Whatever your garden needs we've got you covered!
